I started this website because . . .

I wanted to create a digital destination where I could freely explore my experience of motherhood without the constraints of worrying about a particular publisher's or media site's audience. As a freelance writer, I often write and pitch with an eye towards the audience to whom the publication tries to speak. In some ways, this causes me to censor myself. By having my own space, I can speak more freely. Readers can choose to read my work, disagree, comment, or simply leave.

The goal of this site is to create a collective of motherhood stories. Maybe you'll be one of those voices. At the very least, I hope you stay a while.
